Compare the size of them to those Visaton FRS7s you got. You should be able to guess how these little ones will go.

Thanks for the input lads.
I figured they would not put out like the Visy ones, but they are really good to fit in the sponsons on a Tiger.
I have not got an option on the electronics as yet. The new version Taigen stuff is simply unavailable down here short of a special order import.
Mr Mekkers Clark system is starting to look a much more attractive alternative, but the thought of a T.V. remote setting up a tank board is quite perturbing.
Do these Clark systems have the option of being set in the factory(or at Mr Mekkers house) to have the sounds and running settings all done, transmitter bound, ready to plug motors in out of the box ?
All I need is a way to action the taigen recoil, have a few good sounds, and be SIMPLE to use.
No way I want to take a course in quantum physics and cyber-intelligence to get it to work.
Thats what puts me off Elmod...............great units, but beyond my capability to keep going if it stops.
This build is taking a back seat for now until a few things work themselves out, but Im busy doing a custom build White Tiger (same as my own one from ages ago) that will help to fund an electronics system, or, a trip to Bovington for the last weekend of Tiger display with premium tickets.........

I would assume they would have a very flat sound. As I use the visaton fr5?

An these are already rather flat in that small box.
This is cheap enough, just make a box to fit your space

Visaton FR7 4 Ohm Fullrange Round Speaker 6.5cm Diameter

Yup, that is what I came across as well. But back in the day, when I started the Hobby, I wasnt that knowledgable already. Just ordered me two frs 7 4 ohm and cut the box from 4mm ply Wood I had lying around, fill that with some acoustic Fiber and it should booom.

Boom

It certainly wouldn’t be quiet.
I have a 15” sub in the car, perhaps I could make a trailer lol

Stian should be able to set the Clark board up the way you want it, but if there's anything that needs to be adjusted or redone you'll need to figure out those TV remote ninja skills. The Elmod's actually the more straightforward system to set up, really. You plug it all in, hold a button until both tracks are running the same direction and you're already basically good to go. If you want to change anything, you just plug your tank into your PC (!) and click on a box to adjust anything directly. It's a lot more user-friendly than it might seem from the outside, I've been pretty damned impressed with mine. You couldn't muck it up, don't worry!

Hi Mr Bix,
just caught up on your build, excellent work !
If you still haven't settled on a speaker choice, i can say that i have used both the mato speakers and the visaton fr5 ( from rctank de). The mato speakers in my M3 Lee with an Asp2 (5w) produce no where near enough sound.
The visaton, in a Pz4 Wirbelwind with Asp2 (20w) turned down, is far better , both deeper and louder. Even when i tested it on the 5w setting it was better than the mato speakers.
My 2 cents worth.

I second that. Elmod is really easy to configure and if you get stuck there is plenty of support here on the forum. Elmod are great units and well worth considering.

Ive completed a White Tiger 1 for commission so F05 will be back on shortly.
The Taigen radio system is still not a complete system(missing the transmitters) so I still wait.
Interesting fact with these new versions, the hobby grade transmitters do work, but you lose the M.G.
Mark from Ozarmour went through the exercise to prove or refute the theory-even contacting Imex, but its true.
I will wait for the Taigen transmitter to match the new hardware.
Also have a SiG33 upper hull to create for the club president, so plenty to keep me busy.
I have loads of things ahead of me, so thats great for me- but not so great for the rest of the family eh
