My JT's travel lock from wecohe got the same bad casting, but okay PE parts. I think the bolt's are in the bolt/nut kit which are availiable separately from Wecohe. Regarding the 18T sprockets/single link track's I think they were fitted to the JT's with Porsche design roadwheel/suspension. And I think all the early models didn't have travel lock either.... I don't bother to build a 100% accurate model of the JT, I build it out of personal preferences. Keep on the good work there, I like it.

Mine came with bolt and wire and nuts....right scale ...wrong size..

Please allow me to horn in here regarding what I've learned about the various types of track, as I have been struggling to understand it for a couple of my own builds.

From what I have read, the first 5 Jagdtigers with the Porsche suspension, and the first few King Tigers with the 'Porsche' turret (I don't know how many of them, but believe it was the first three months' worth of production), were fitted with Gg 24/800/300 track, which had a one-piece 'A' shoe and a four-piece 'B' connecting link shoe. This is the type seen on the Bovington Jagdtiger, and had the inside row of guide teeth cut off so that they didn't foul the Jagdtiger suspension, (wasn't necessary on the 'Porsche' turret King Tigers, with their torsion bar suspension). Friulmodel has a set of this track in 1/35 scale (set ATL-22), and I used that as a reference to buy the necessary parts from Kenny Kong to make up a set in 1/16 scale. It used an early 18-tooth sprocket with square drive teeth. These are the type of 18-tooth sprocket that Kenny Kong sells.

The next type of track (for Jagdtigers; from 305006 on, and for most King Tigers) was Gg 26/800/300 track, which had a single-piece 'A' shoe and a smaller single-piece 'B' connecting link that did not have holes for the sprocket teeth. It used a 9-tooth sprocket. Friulmodel has this set in 1/35 (set ATL-16), and it matches the stock tracks that come with the Tamiya 1/16 King Tiger kit.

The last type of track used on King Tigers was the late type with one-piece shoes that Impact makes, (I didn't find out that they didn't use it on Jagdtigers - naturally - until I had bought a full set plus extra links from Mitosal for a Jagdtiger build. It's now going onto a Geschutzwagen Tiger build, so that I don't throw away the money I spent on it). It was called Kgs 73/800/152, and Friulmodel set ATL-37 is a match. It used a late 18-tooth drive sprocket, which had smaller, more triangular drive teeth. These match the ones Impact sells with this set.

Here is a page out of Spielberger's book Heavy Jagdpanzer. Apparently 18 tooth SINGLE link designed for later KT and JT, but was it implemented on the JT??? I can;t find a definite image.

I suspect at some time, someone fit at least one set to test...

So that would make 4 different sets of tracks (including transport). I did read somewhere that The Porsche suspension was poor enough on testing that at least two different track link types were tested.

I went through 7 texts and the net and I can;t find a single pic of these tracks actually mounted on a JT. But I did find one hazy pic of a change to the rear bulkhead which I will incorporate into my build. you will have to wait to see it.....

I haven't seen one with the single linkt 18T tracks either, but it's still possible that they could have existed. I have read somewhere that the last JT's were delivered without the jack and jack block.

yep, jack block and jack not on some. I have seen pics of the jack mounted low on rear and the block high right rear...

this is a different change to rear end and I have only seen one pic of it...

Rear Bulkhead done. A few wecohe thumb nuts ,scratch hickory jack block , rear tow hitch..

Jack block held in place from rear with allen head sheet metal screw and can be removed for painting.

just need to finish the starter crank guide. and maybe a convoy light...

I think you did a great job on the tow hitch! It's one of the neatest features of the late Jagdtiger that was captured by the Soviets and is in Kubinka - only the whole rear half is broken off. I always wondered what it would look like if it was intact - and now I know! Thank you.
