Oooo, he will be happy. He's always happy when someone buys a tank, I know it. I think that's why he hangs around the shop on day's off. He used to help out at a comic/model shop and loves talking with the customers and sending them away happy.

Scold him all you like. He'll just grin and say "but, you have a new tank!"

That’s what I like to hear, not afraid to get it dirty.
Clean is ok but dirty is better.

Airbrush cleaner and airbrush oil will keep the gun working well for years, Mine is almost two years old and has been used to shoot all kinds of stuff,paints,laquer,floor polish,Varnish but after using I spray the thinner or widow wash and then oil it slightly. The "oil"is called NEEDLE JUICE from BADGER that along with the very fine q-tip type cleaners keep everything working well,all my seals are original and the gun works very well ever time.

I have the Paasche double action,like you for years I used brush and can, but the gun is better after you get past the intimidation and understand the mix ratios and control use.

It has taken a while yet I still find new ways to use the gun, me biggest issue was years of Testors Enamel Paints,and changing to Tamiya Water based paints,but after two years I have accumulated alot of colors and the window wash is cheap to use as well.

Your Jagdpanther looks great, and so will the next tank if really is addictive

One little tip i can give you that will help with the gun paint clogs. Old containers that your paint sits in once some of the paint is used air will dry the paint up the sides of the containers ,this intern finds its way into the gun. Just place in the cap a coffee filter you know the paper ones. Just snip a corner off. That way when you use the paint its then pre-filtered.

Good tip,I will try that as well. Seems the drying out issue is unavoidable.
