New Kavan 480 swift motors showed up today and I set out to put them in. Went pretty well, only had to rewire the lower motor once for correct polarity. The new motors spin much faster, have a torque band on them, and came pre wired with capacitors. I was also able to take some of my pinion stock and make two new pinion gears on the lathe and tap snubs into them. The new Pinion gears also have a smaller tooth count so I am getting a higher gear reduction out of the set. This all results in a bit of a beast for a tank. This thing will now claw through anything and has picked up significant speed in my opinion. Downside to all this is the thing screams like hell. Much louder then the speaker is thats for sure... I guess I will evaluate this over time.

It also always annoyed me that I could not fit my big lipo in the tank due to the way the wires exit the case. So, today I cut the hull to allow my much bigger and better battery.

All I need is a tank that can dive like a sub and shoot torpedoes.

Looking good...you should cut down the driver's periscopes. Right now they're looking at the sky instead of outward like they should.

To answer a previous question...the red LED in the mantlet is where the coax should be. You could fashion your own coax or buy one with a flashing LED from Tank Modellbau.
