Re: My 1/16th tanks
Looks great, although the KV1 should be on a slope

Re: My 1/16th tanks
Hello Jeff, the panther has some great detail. You have done a fine job on both.I have a question about the Panther, the inner wheels have a edge that appears to be unpainted metal, what was the purpose of this detail as I have not seen it done this way before,Great job on both. Blake
Re: My 1/16th tanks
Hi Blake, the inner roadwheels of the panther and jagdpanther were metal with a very thin rubber on the outside. This metal rubbed against the guide horns on the track and created a very polished bare metal commonly seen in wartime photographs. A good comparison would be the rotor on your car. As long as you drive regularly it stays a polished bare metal, if you stop driving your car and let it sit for a few weeks it quickly rusts and is no longer shiny.

Re: My 1/16th tanks
Here is a Tamiya King Tiger. I built this one based on a soft edge ambush scheme camo wartime picture of a KT knocked out by the allies in Germany, which is interesting as most of the photos of King Tigers in the ambush scheme have a hard edge camo.
