Don,t forget Alan if you are working on your table put the tank on blocks just in case mate! would hate to see all that work looking like a scrap yard???
and yes you will not require the extra batt box with the Planet T5..as we bound the tranny and reciever.. it will be fine mate.... good luck ..Fleshy..............

Hi guys a quick update on the Stug. Tried the Planet T5 without a reciver battery. As suggested I just connected the battery to the Tamiya DMD/MFU units and switched on. Hey presto as soon as the transmitter linked to the reciver off we went with engine startup. I'm well chuffed now. Also compleated a small mod to the Tamiya recoil system. As the pictures show I used a Futaba servo extension lead to make a plug and play connection between the MFU and recoil unit. This will allow me to take the top off the Stug for maintainance and if I add a female connector to my other recoil units be they Asiatam, modified HL or Tamiya I can ( if I make sure the wiring is correct ) in theory use any Tamiya MFU on any of my tanks. Got this idea from wibblywobbly's posts on his modular Elmod system ( thanks Rob ) and I'm just plain to mean to fork out on several Tamiya DMD/MFU systems. I have tested the system by connecting the Tiger 1 Turret to the Stug and riping off a few shots ( wifey told me to grow up when I started dancing round with relief ). So all I have to do now is wire up the Stug recoil system to run in reverse and get the microswitch mounted. All the best for now

Quick update on the Stug. Made the remote MG mount and fixed it in place. Many thanks to littletankman for all the info and drawings for the MG mount. Also swaped the loaders hatch round so it opens side to side not fore and aft.I will get that mounted tomorrow, and have a go at a gun travel lock. With a bit of luck I can fill all the scratches and scrapes where stuff was removed or added. All the best for now

Thanks for the comment Blake, but I can't take all the credit for the MG mount it was littletankman who supplied me with all the info and drawings on how to do this mod. Without that I would not have attempted it to be honest. All the best for now
