It ain't the air, Steiner, it's the wine. We had wonderful crops of grapes the last two years. The Massandra and Inkerman wines are best described as nectar of the gods at the moment. Brewed by the Church, and less than 2 bucks a bottle. There are some advantages to livng here.

Boy, thats cheap. Talking about wine, the best red wine I like is either Paul Mason or Blossom Hill. both Californian red wines. I only wish it was 2 bucks a bottle though. One day me and my missus would like to go on a wine tasting trip to california. Do they organize such tours there ?
Cheers

I'm not much of a wine fancier, in that I often think not much of the "in" wines, but the local brew here is pretty much the best I've ever had. Comes in many varieties, including some of the goodest champagne you will ever crack a bottle of. Yeah, yeah, I know, but I care not a wit what the French say. Champagne is champagne, in my opinion, no matter where it is brewed.
Vineyards are all over the place here, some dating back 2500 years to when the Greeks first settled the area. The valley east of the city has it's own unique climate, perfect for vineyards. However, no wine tours here, per se. This is a pretty poor area in comparison to much of USA, and tours have not caught on....yet.
