Good to see you working on this beast again, often wondered about the photo etched parts and how well they stay attached .I have only used photo etched parts on ship models. So my question is what type of glue, and how well do the parts stay attached after driving? Or does the addition of these parts relagate the tank to a carpet runner only? Cheers Blake

no way ,she will be getting dirty with the rest of them
epoxy is also very good for fixing phote etched parts

back on the tiger II, at last , ive started on the rear turret hatch, i bought a tamiya sprue for the bits i didnt have, as luck would have it it came with a spare hatch so i had a second chance if i messed up, i started by hinging the hatch , and then filling the space on the inside of the hatch with plywood and a top sheet of brass, then drilled out the pistol port and filed to the correct shape, i made the bung by using the original top and sculpted the shape with green stuff [ epoxy putty ], i will be adding the rest of the detail , working on that as i type this.

Brilliant work. Those PE parts and the extra detailing you're doing make a huge difference.
Cheers

Great build so far Cliff, some really good attention to detail, i especially like the fenders, good job on the damage, they are the one thing i wish i had added to my KT, but hey thats finished now

Really nice detail work, you have a good eye,or two.
Rebuild work like this is great, when you get towards the end and look back at the pictures of when you first got it you won't believe it's the same tank.
This is just how I did my Sherman, got it cheap off ebay second hand, stripped it and learnt more than I expected in the rebuild.Very satisfying indeed.
Keep up the good work.

Steve.
