Windshield cleaner (window wash) is a Methanol (methyl alcohol) and water mix. The only tip I want to leave is the alcohol/methanol does evaporate with time so keep those containers tight. If you see a change in performance over time...

I'd buy a 55 gallon drum in summer time for a fleet of trucks only to have the left overs worthless when the snow came around and the blue water WW froze in the reservoir on the trucks.

Might some types of windshield washer fluid include some other ingredients? Such additives might wreak havoc with acrylics. To be sure, I would hesitate to use such fluid (or even my favorite, Windex) for thinning. For cleaning the airbrush, I go cheapo; for the small amounts used in thinning, I may be bit overcautious.

I use Tamy X-20A for thinning and cleaning, but the cleaning volume always goes back into the paint pot to thin it.
So virtually none is wasted and it cuts down on the thinning required for that pot of paint over use.
Like im pre thinning each colour as I use it. If im out of paint in one pot I always have another one the same, so I can store the used & tinged thinner in the empty pot ready to use to thin the next one I open thats the same colour.

I'm afraid I'll be boring, but Methanol is banned in our country for use in household chemicals precisely because of its toxic properties.
All windshield wipers, both for cars and for homes, contain only ethyl alcohols, yes, they are technical, but not toxic.

Sometimes I use Isopropyl Alcohol, it's VERY cheap and sold for cleaning electronics...99.7%

Fair enough. That what was available a few years back in the States. I've only found the Isopropyl alcohol in smaller containers (called rubbing alcohol on the store shelves), but then I've never gone searching for bigger containers.
