Another day done! Where to start ... ahh yes with the very beautiful Taigen Premium 7.1 gearboxes with dust covers ... very nice little upgrade that Dave knew id want before i wanted it


Next on the list was the beginning of the dreaded electronics! I hooked everything but the upper hull and swapped the Heavy tank sound card out for the Panther sound card, oh boy she fired up great! The ground shook with the sympathy of the mighty Maybach HL230! Very happy man

I then moved onto my temporary fitting of wheels and tracks nothing really difficult about this so yeah heres a photo of that!



Yes im aware the tracks require a bit of tension but this is just for test purposes

Moving on - once i had seen this... That was it, i had to see it built and running so ahead i went! All electronics set into the hull all connected and hey presto! It works! Barrel flash, recoil & smoke ==== and she rolls, slow speed performance with the current V3 is great but i think i could get it even better with my own Radiomaster transmitter and a clark board eventually!

Next to come is to start the details. And learn how to airbrush!

Ps.I know this thread is very back to basics for 99% of people here, im completely new to RC Models as a whole so its nice to look back on! And thank you all for your advice and guidance ive been given so far! I can see myself getting more for sure!

Again you have a year to work on the July '24 group builds, NOT a WEEK. Slow down son, you'll make the rest of us look old (didn't mention names brother, no-one will be the wiser).

Yes back off a bit. You will want to remove the tracks and wheels and tires and prime/paint them off the tank. Have you decided on a camo scheme and base paint even for the lower hull sides?

My problem is i work shifts so when im off i go all hands on deck i just wanted to her running as i say its into all the details now and that requires alot of work as to what she will be and thats where i hit a stump! Or at least a speed bump as you'd like to know!

Absolutely the plan for the priming, more weld lines are required also so i will probably end up giving the body another dust, as for camo and "lore" or history of the tank im not sure. Fictional or non Fiction i dont yet know i love camos that feature red brown so thats in my mind

I have never built a tank from a kit of parts like this, so you are actually helping by showing your building. I especially look forward to the installation of the electronics.

It may be new to RC modelling but you're doing a great job! As stated by the other guys, take your time or you'll have to start another quickly!

Thanks much appreciated! Ill keep that in mind with the electronics also, if it goes onto a second build then so be it!
