Good Afternoon,
I am a sucker for detail and your Sherman is rich with it. A beautiful, clean build, just like I like them. Following along,
regards,
Painless

Merci because Jofaur !

It was a lot of fun, my 7yo son was able to drive a half track M3A1 for 5 min, he was so in awe !

Ah, you found some goodies, Monsieur Tox! I see, too, a rather non-standard mirror on someone's "big toy" Sherman. I sure do understand that addition.

Hello Monsieur Tox. Are you able to assist me. I am building the SOL M4A3E8 and I have to make the filler cap plates, that are supplied as brass in the I Love it kit. Can you help me place which plates go where? At least I can get the spelling of Diesel correct! :D

Yes I guess it's safer when you drive around people and they also drive in the town.

A car got a (minor) accident with an M8, no need to say the M8 won. 😂

Hello Abe Froman, unfortunatly I gave up using them on this tank so I did not conduct any research on that but maybe Louis would be able to help, I believe the labels are molded on the Takom kit :

I've painted it, unfortunatly it was too hot and the paint dried before touching the model, the finish was very grainy, I had to sand every bad areas and start again. Also had some problem with the Tamiya flat varnish, with a white smocky finish like many have experienced before me. I found that spraying pure cellulosic thinner over it brought back the transparency!

So this is how it stands now :

I was happy that I had been able to recover it.
But I found it was too clean.
I wanted a very dusty look like we see in vintage photographies.

So I used an old HL M4A3 hull as a paint mule to make some experiment and get this result :

I checked it in black and white and I think it doesn't look that bad so I may do that on the M4a3e8.

What do you think of the finish?
I'm affraid to mess up the Easy 8 again. 😂

I think you have the correct vertical streaking for the Sherman's days and nights in dust and rain. Have courage; go a little bit at a time, and your M4A3E8 will look great.
Then, too, I do not know if you can use the "mule" but it would make a fine hull even for a stock HengLong Sherman.
