That Rx has it's own antenna and the tank will now not need the external antenna and connecting wire. Did you get the V7 transmitter? It will not work with the old. And the V7 TX & Rx may need to be bound. We can help with that too.

I have the 8 pin block connector on hull/turret and that has the hull lights m/ gun / turret raise lower and firing mechanism. Please don't be telling me now it might not be compatible. It's Heng long TK-7.0 system. I can't ring it up yet to test as I need 7.4v battery now as the 7.2v battery I just bought hasn't got the extra voltage needed .

Perfect. The 7.2v or 7.4v are able to run the systems, The Ni-cd and Ni-mh are 1.2v per cell (6 x 1.2 = 7.2v) The Li-on use 2 cells and end up at 7.4v.

thank you for your valuable information I appreciate it. So am I to understand I can run 7.4v parts I've replaced using a 7.2v or just to test the replacement parts I've fitted ?? I shall be putting steel gearboxes with motors in a short while when I have spare money. Also look on the parts forsale on here to see if I might have some luck

Yes they are completely compatible. There are a few aftermarket electronic speed controls that have you switch bewteen Ni-mh & Li-po, but that is rather uncommon. Old or new, they with both work with either battery style.
The battery chargers are different. The Li-ion requires a bit more careful handling ( how to charge and store...).

Very nice indeed. My ex boss use to build his own customs . Last one was ford prefect/Anglia sit up n beg . I have a 3.500 rover engine on my stand which I am rebuilding. Re ringed it SD1 heads mains ends and just got a crank . Once completed I shall sell it. Was P6 engine. Soz should be talking models .

Wasn't the original 3,500 Rover engine a V8 design licenced from Buick?

We called it the 215 ci Buick. First one I came across was in a Triumph TR8. Never saw one in a Buick. I think it faded out due to most of Detroit going for slightly more displacement.
