Bit of work on the fuel tanks i drilled out rod for the handles so they all work.

Ive used various tubes in the past hypodermic needles for some, pen parts, whatever best suits its a matter of seeing something and thinking mmm I can use that for.....
The edges of the fuel tanks have been thinned down so they are scale

The best thing ever for weld lines cut the nozzel right at the end to get the smallest hole and squeeze away, joyous !

All the frontal armour added on. The mounting bolts are a white metal castings
I got of my friend Adam who owns Mount fleet models. I had them to hand so it saved me using and of my brass nuts and threaded rod

On to the rear Armour. Found the centre then measured out the distance where each arm is and cut slots in the turret. The arms fit through so they are supported and wont break off in the heat of Battle or whenever Gary runs me over ,whichever is sooner. Id like to think you can make a great model and it will stand up to the pace of being used but invariably some finer things will get damaged but until then I'll make it as best as possible.
All four white card brackets are cut to the same size then put together and sanded. The main arms were cut in one piece from card sheet
and slotted into the turret , super glued and the cross beam added I used a spirit level to make sure each arm is level and aligned. The White card brackets were then profiled to the turret curve and glued in place. The outside panel is plated, as it happens i've done it in red plastic card so it shows up well. Then the addition of weld lines job done.

A better view of the arms and cross beams, the AK putty is very user friendly im not a fan of it as a filler for that I prefer green stuff, it seems to shrink back a fair bit but for fine filling its ok. It was worth the effort using a level for lining up the arms it would only need to be slightly out to look so wrong.

the colour contrasts of plastics and filler etc really show up the fine detail work and it will all disapear when the paint goes on. No one will realise the hours of work spent so far ..A quick calculation im up to about 500 or so hours on it with a fair bit more to go

Little bit out of sinc. as there are a few bits made without pictures so on to the turret armour. Lots of consultation to the internet and the many reference pictures to get the right shape and sizes to the individual armour pods, lots of measuring and lots of cutting.

Each pod is a case for the spatial armour made up of steel rubber and aluminium sheets that bolt to a frame welded to the turret
