regards pete
the only way to put the plugs in backwards is if they are forced in as the plugs are registered plugs onside deaper than the other and they also have tangs thast have to line up

I tell you what Bubbajoexx, you are priceless. I'll tell you this right here and right now, you have a lot to learn about retail. I'll tell you this also, nobody likes to spend money on anything that is "half baked". So on that basis I regard "your" instructions on "your" Battle system as "half baked". Do you understand what I mean regarding "half baked". If you are having difficulty understanding my English language then post me and on that basis I will dicuss it with you on a lower language level.
Read my post........tell me where you think I have gone wrong.

Alright knock it off, Nick.

I know these things can be highly flakey - believe me I've *had it up to here* with the DBCRC2HL and its quirks - but please don't bash a guy who's trying to help.
Please describe your problems in detail with some pics so that Joe and Bill can figure out what went wrong and how it can be improved. I know Bill will want to do everything possible to make things right, and improve his product.

I'd suggest that everybody walks away from this thread tonight and comes back tomorrow with a little less emotion... Please :-\ ?

Ok I'm back and on that basis I would like to apologise on this forum to Bubbajoexx. My remarks were uncalled for, arrogant and rude. Annoyance and frustration are not an excuse.

Bubbajoexx I'm sorry.

I'm posting some pic's  to see if they will throw any light on the problems I'm experiencing with my install of this product. I've kept them at a large resolution to ensure any faults will show up.

ok found the problem you where sent  the wrong tower harness the one you have is for DBC and that has caused your failure Bill must have mixed up the harnesses when they came in you will get both units replaced free of charge bill asked me last night to call him once i figured out the problem once you get the new units i will go step by step with you to install the units so that you have perfect working units

the harness on the rx18 should be fliped around the plug in the upper hull should be in the rx18 and the one in the rx18 should be in the upper hull so you have standard color codes

14062009346.jpg in this picture you have the wires for the aux sounds soldered to the board it is better to splice the wires into the harness in case you ever have to replace the rx18
just a sugestion and the white wire from the sound card going to pin 8 place a switch in the wire should you wish to turn the aux MG on or off

your wiring off the unit is well done

Bubbajoexx many thanks for your speedy reply. All your help is very much appreciated.
I'm glad we've managed to sort this out and thank you very much for your tips on the aux sound wiring. Splicing the wires does make a lot of sense.

All the best,

Nick.

I will ask bill to send me pics of the new units so that there will be no mixup of parts with the new units he has both DBC and His unit instock and the harnesses look identical but the way they plug in is reversed and the tower internals are differant so if you plug in the wrong harness it burns the ic and tower instantly and causes a nightmare trying to figure out what is wrong
