Thats great work! I always fancied a steam powered HMS Hood, though I wanted it to be coal fired, which meant designing some sort of screw feed. Though I would've had to buy a steam engine as I wouldn't know where to begin with building my own. Look forward to seeing future progress!

Mick for years I searched for a pipe bender I could afford and would actually do the job.
I found a Pipe Bender on E-BAY last year which consists of a short length of flat metal bar, a small channelled roller, and a second piece of short flat metal bar,
It was CHEAP and it bends 1 mm and 3 mm Brass tube with no stress marks or splits.
Archimedes was right about levers after all.

A stunning work of art in brass and copper..

I only wish i could use one of these for something practical outside of the engine room context.
I loved the steam locomotive used in the recent 'The Biggest little railway in the World' (71 miles of track in the Highlands' Great Glen) shown on Channel 4.

I also had my ribs tickled (even managed a full-guffaw) by the sight of a collection of feverish nerds jumping about excitedly in the Great Glen (Loch ness), whilst urging the Silver Lady on. Is there a collective noun for a group of manic modellers, by the way?
Honestly though, my inner nerd wanted one of these wee locos....badly! I even went online to find the manufacturer; but failed. Doubtless some of our Loco fans (and I mean Loco..

) will know who makes them.
Brass steam engines, and wee steam locos, excitite the 'must have' impulse in the hardcore modeller.

My only regret is that I missed the show being made, especially as the location is not too far from where I live.
