Just a quickie, Fitted a second, larger speaker tonight. Fits perfectly undernieth where the turret would have sat. Inconjunction with this, the tank is starting to feel a little heavy, what with the extra speaker, solid fuel drums and metal jib. What effect is this going to have on the tank?

Sorry guys, not had much time recently to work on the arv, but heres a quick up date;- 2nd speaker fitted which doesnt add any more volume but does give a sutble bass tone, and makes any thing layed on top rummble which is quite cool. All the parts for the rear tow plate are now made, just have to paint them and then fit, and as for the winch, im going to go with my first idea(see "winches on wwII tanks" in general disscusion) it may not be correct but it looks like a winch which is what i was after, the pictures i have of the real thing just shows a chain going into a hole in the back, not much to look at. I'll add some photo's when i get a chance.
Cheers, Luke

Spot light made.
Made me a spot light today. Cost- 99p
Time- 1/2 hr
Materials- 1x AAA cell pencil torch
1x Led(pinched from garden light)
Card
Drinking Straw
Filler mesh
1x shower head from pepper pig accessorie!
Basicaly, ive taken the head from a small pencil torch which cost me 99p, changed the filiment lamp for an LED, added a bit of mesh in the end, cut down a toy shower head to cap off the other end and mounted it using a drinking straw. Powered by robbing the feed to the light on the side of the tank.

Not sure, ive no pictures of it in use so i can only guess as to how it was used. Glad the winch has got some approval, i wasnt sure if it would look right, as ive written in previouse post's, i think the winch on the real thing was within the engine bay, but i wanted it on show, so i just bodged this up from imagination. Glad you like it, just got mainly cosmetics to do now

yes you maybe right on the winch but as you say and i agree it looks good
we had similar ploughs on the back of 155 spgs and that was to stop the platform going backwards when "popping" off lol

Have been scanning Tankzones site today, im now thinking that i might open up the drivers hatch with the one you can get from them, and then maybe a driver inside seeing as theres no turret for a figure.
