No mate there from good old forgebear. These are the superstrong gearboxes and from last nights test run ( direct wire to the battery with no control ) they run very well and are quite quiet. The only observation I will make is that the bushings the gearshafts run in are a bit sloppy, but the final drive axle is mounted in ball bearing races. Next is testing the electronics out  ;D

Well people a quick update on progress so far. Having no Patience I put an RX 14 into the KT to see how she went, can you guess what happened next ?????
You got it my RX 14 imitated the smoke plume from an A bomb and the right hand track reverse FET went into nuclear meltdown  >:(. So it was out with the spare RX 14 and ram that in  :o with a fan now connected ( lots of Anglo Saxon expletives used during this delicate process ). Guess what happened next ?????
Wrong it ran well  ;D All the connected functions worked well turret rotation is good as I used an HL unit to get equal speed in both directions, elevation is good and the drive is good smooth turning even on longish grass. Went for bust and got a superspin as well both ways, then the battery started dying. Checked the RX 14 and it was not even warm. As always any questions or comments welcome. All the best for now
Alan
PS Good luck with your upgrade Martin if I can be of any assistance feel free to ask
