Good points ..I never stripped mine but steel sure is stronger! My stock ones are very well broken in and rather quiet..I think quiet wise the brass are tops there. But with the amps and larger speakers any gearbox sounds is drowned out for me.

Never striped any pot metal gearboxes? Wow! Good for you! Not saying that to be an ass either that was a sincere good for you, I've destroyed every one I've owned within days on purchasing the tank that it came in! The ones that came with my King Tiger lasted me not even a week! I'm HARD on my tanks!

It is a Taigen Tiger I and I never thought about it...but I drove it around a lot on cement and in the dirt and even got stuff caught
in tracks..so I am now appreciative that the gears still hold up!
