Don't bother removing track pins. Small terminal driver in the idle wheel centre and unscrew the idle wheel comes off and tracks can be removed, 1 minute job.

I forgot Rob....so an added note for your tracks...for replacing a pin...CHANNEL LOCK PLUMBERS PLIERS ....push the pin in till it reaches the knurled area...then use the pliers to "squeeze" it in

Unconverted captured kv2. The amount of chain on it is silly!

Thanks - it's putting the pin in that I'm wary of. Bought a load of metal stuff off rctank.de to fix the damaged hull (poor packaging from HL, made sense to agree a discount rather than shipping boxes back and forwards). I'll check but think the idle wheel is held on with a grub screw on the metal chassis; no prizes for guessing where it is.....

Yep I know. But you can get the Allen key through one of the the track holes and reach the grub screw.

Hey Rob...think you have a Taigen lol....HL doesn't have grub screws or a metal chassis...reason it's so durable

Just got my kv2 turret though. Really impressed with it. Should be an easy convert back to a Russian kv2, nothing oddly out of place to grind from under the German cupola, just filling to be done. Waiting for my kv1 to turn up. Will create a build thread once I start. Thanks for the help and great recommendations guys
