Thanks john1970. I checked the continuity of the microswitch (with yellow/black wires) last night, back to the ground wire as it connects to the MFU. It functions OK & is normally in the ‘ON’, breaking contact when the spigot contacts it.
After reassembling the turret the constant recoil has stopped and respond to the ‘up left’ command, but the barrel indexes back & rests in the recoil position, as if the spigotted gear is 180 degrees out.
