That is the basic paint scheme that I had picked, early Barbarossa. Tamiya's decal set is pretty inclusive as well giving markings for three versions with the fender striping. It will turn out well and scale up nicely to 1/16 when the time comes. I don't know about schoolgirls as a crew here tho'. ;o)

I'll make it work ;) ................. :haha: ..plan to redo the G ... and mark it with this
Image
from the History Team... ;) the base color will be Hippo Grey...and I just might do the fender corners in white as well :D

The only thing I don't like about converting the HL is the molded on tools...bought a bunch of diamond plate from Ebay...just have to get around to "doing" the job

Alpha,
I will look and see how bad it is on the 'Tauch Panzer' deck. The resin kit came with some tools I think plus I have plenty of Tamiya and Mato left overs to use to detail out a 1/16 Stug III B. I will have to get a working convoy light for the rear. AN-BRI-RC has those.

Sass is using the Tauch on his Stug...it's actually a very good match as far as the rear deck is concerned...the kit should come with everything else you need..like the light buckets and the front engine cover..The armor plating is something you might want to think about ...if you do get the Taigen Hull..it doesn't have it..so you will need to get the Mato pieces for that Dave has them in a set...probably the best way to go ;) ...if you get the HL Stug... the front is ok...you might only need to make some hitches for it there...the rear deck is totally off... but fixable IMO.... I plan to just remove the covers fill the openings and relocate the hinges by just carefully chiseling them off ;)

Weather bad there Painless? A friend in the east coast says it's snowing there...the irritating kind ...you know ..slushy and messy ...Pershing looks great already...though some outdoor shots could only enhance the image ;)

PS. Toss a dirty rag to camo it before Doc sees it :haha: :haha: :haha:

Alpha,
We had a nice Autumn here but it ended too early. Definitely Winter now, the days are cold and the nights are in the single digits or below zero. I've been here for 34 years and some and I've never failed to be amazed by the weather and all it's varieties on display. It will be up to 40 this week so melt off is already commencing. Folks should be able to play tag football after dinner on Thanksgiving as the seasons balance out. The jet stream is moving back north and taking the arctic weather with it for a bit.

The weather has been unusual here too...abnormally Hot during the summer ...and just like you almost no fall...it's almost like Mother nature is having menopause :haha: ...as there are hot and cold flashes...accompanied by torrential rain ..then balmy days and nights
Could be the residual effects of that storm front that came down from Alaska...but who really knows...

Main thing is to be safe... photos can wait ;)
