Its looking slick mate...........the brake was kind of a 'thing' is all, could have been a neat trick or a picture you found that was different 1Marky Voodoo wrote:Cheers for all your great comments fellas.I will put that muzzle brake right tonight and start doing my Ambush camo scheme too. Then its on with some accessories and markings!
Its a credit to you for the "box-to-'beudy " effort in such a short time.

Re: Marky Voodoo's HL Jagdpanther.
Thanks again for all your great comments guys. Really enjoying this build and taking my time to make it last as long as possible!
Here's a few more pics tonight with the Camo scheme applied, road wheel caps on and a few accecories.
Still a long long way to go guys, And will tonight be finishing off and weathering accecories.
would just like to say what a great forum this is. It's fanatstic having like minded people comment and praise my efforts so thankyou very much for that folks.
speak soon.

Thanks Lert. Its a tricky one Lert and took a while to do mate. Tried to keep the yellow colour on the darker sections then the green on the lighter. Im pleased with it bud.

One tip I might give you~
Your tracks look very tight. Your JP will run smoother and the gearboxes will live longer if you add a link to each track, giving them a little bit of slack. This tip was given to me when I bought my JP and it really works wonders.

Re: Marky Voodoo's HL Jagdpanther.
Cheers fellas.
I just couldnt leave it alone guys and have done a little bit more tonight...
Rest of the accecories fitted and dry brushed aluminium along with a dusting of pastels.. Then it was on painting my commander. Done him in a Humbrol Dark panzer Grey with dark red pin striping and silver medals.
Also tried to give him a cigarette using abit of sprue painted white with a red tip.. then superglued a small amount of pulled cotton wool to imitate the smoke.. bit unsure about this, as it looks abit big! lol!
Still have quite a few small detail bits to finish off, But one happy lad so far.
PS Lert i will def add another piece of track link to her too as you suggested. Did you have any problems with tracks slipping off when on grass etc mate?

Re: Marky Voodoo's HL Jagdpanther.
I haven't run mine on grass or anything soft with the stock plastic gearboxes, just indoor / pavement / dry dirt. Tracks never shed. I want to upgrade to metal gearboxes before going heavy offroading.Marky Voodoo wrote:Did you have any problems with tracks slipping off when on grass etc mate?
The problem with the tracks on HL's JP out of the box is that they're so tight that the drive sprocket and idler wheel are under constant tension, adding friction and stress to the whole drive train. It'll run better with some slack.
