Good evening, cupoftea,
Great job with the track cable! I am a huge fan of picture wire. The stuff has quite a few uses in these builds ) Thanks for the update, my friend,
Warm regards,

While my spraying/painting area is out of commission preventing further progress Sherman wise i have been 're-visiting' my Tiger 1.
What i have done so far is to fit a Taigen lower hull and late type steel road wheels. I have a couple of spare Tiger turrets to hand so have made one up as a late version. Got the electrics into it yesterday and had the first test run - boy does the new lower hull and some decent wheels make a difference to the running.
So the spec at present is; 4:1 black steel gearboxes, Taigen lower hull, Taigen late type road wheels, my 'home brew' control system. Pics will follow..........................

Cup,
Taigen\Asiatam's hulls and components are very popular for good reason. The improvements they give over the stock HL setup almost go without saying. Your Tiger is looking extremely cool with these improvements. Please keep up the pics.

I had always been slightly disappointed with the way that the Tiger ran but had a very pleasant surprise when the new hull and wheels had been fitted. It is now very heavy but I think the running benefits from that. Tracks are plastic but one day i may get some metal tracks - then it will really weigh a ton!
Nice process mate, Do you have a concept for the paint theme or are you looking to stick with the base yellow already on the hull & enhance things a bit ?
Its way to nice to become a 'Fehrmann' rolling wreck right now as it sits.
I have a few weeks to figure out a colour scheme because we are having some alterations done to the house and so I have lost my painting area for the time being, i have a fair bit of mechanical and cosmetic work to do on it in the meantime, Tools need to moved to the correct position for a late Tiger, driver's vision block needs opening up and the rear deck could use some work to make it a bit closer to scale.
Ah ha, so the reno's are definitely cramping your style mate ! Are you leaning towards an intricate camo or a worn out effect with scarring and the normal signs of a 'late' survivor ?
Perhaps the reno's might influence a feature -wall type camo for a more striking contrast !!!!
Nice looking tiger, if its any help on your camoflarge heres one that that I have not seen repeated anywhere, its called Berlin urban camo and a friend of mine came across it in an old book whilst looking up some other info.
