I will take some more hopefully clearer ones.

Fearless. I seem to have mislaid one of the creates from the rear deck.
The tools are moulded on the hull so they will be removed as a starting point.
Anything else will take shape as the info comes in from you Sherman guy's.

Now waiting for the advice please.

Good Afternoon,
A lot to work with there, Panther. Even the split road wheels and idlers and center horned track can be remedied. I'm looking forward to your build with this one.
regards,
Painless

P.S. Here are a couple of my threads about the tracks on this Beast which may be of interest to you since they show some pics. Also, an actual build thread where a brave soul took undertook making it more tank-like.

Thanks for the links Fearless.
I think this is only fit for a dio type of conversion.
I may use one of my 1/16th models for the D-Day build. But they are already built so technically not a new build.
This is the reasoning behind the 1/30 Sherman, a new build.

Panther,
Awwww, You should really give this one a go, my friend. You can switch between 1/35 and 1/24 scale parts to get things to fit. You even have the snazzy controller! Look at what I have to work with: *chuckles*

Painless

You have a way with encouraging members to carry on trying rather than kick it back in the long grass and forget all about it.
The controller, yep that's different. was the 3841 model programmable.
Do you know what changes were made to the 3841 and the 3841-1

Panther,
The 3841was not programmable to my knowledge. Years ago, I recall seeing an ad for one of these tanks that had the 'Handsome Appearance' controller with two antennas, not one like my old one. Perhaps that was some sort of deluxe or intermedial version? I do not know. As far as differences go now, looking at the close-ups of your 3841-1, the most obvious ones are to the running gear. Your tank has tracks that have a center set of guidehorns that run in split road wheels and idlers. I can only guess that this was to help keep the tracks on. My 3841 has solid road wheels and idlers just like it's larger brother. A note that was in the thread I posted: Any new tracks that I buy for this tank, I must carefully clip out the center guidehorns for the newer version of the tracks to work on my tank. Your controller is of a much newer type, like the Tokyo Marui hand held controllers for their excellent 1/24 Tiger 1 tanks and others that they sell. Lastly, your tank did not come with those awful decals on it. I hand cut American stars out of vinyl circles for mine. Otherwise, all I would have had would be the typical HL model numbers that they send with all their tanks, large or small. Ending up my rambling, a lot more can be done with this tank than I have done.
regards,
Painless.

Hi painless.
Now charged up. The start up sound reasonable, main gun better than I expected but not brilliant, the muzzle flash iffy.
Mc/gun again sound acceptable but the main gun strobe flashing wearied.
Turret and gun elevation working ok.
Forward reverse and turns working ok.
The programming is, lead by the nose method.
The battery is a bit cuffed, will replace that.

Verdict yes I will persevere with it.
The tracks may be ok with the guide horns clipped out, will give that a go,if it doesn't work then it will be a replacement.
