Excellent Build, really glad you have taken the time to share with us your work.
The Porsche just has a quality that is hard to describe, and you have certainly done a fine job.
Having today stressed over painting my KT it seems I should have viewed your thread first.
Well done!

Thanks guys, I have been away for a while for various reasons.
I am working on a Panther G at the moment but decided to revisit this one, the driving was never that good due to the weight, so I replaced the 380 motors with some 400s, this has given it the power it needs, but the HL controls are not that good so I am looking at an upgrade to a dbc3 and benedini.
Thanks again
Robert

Moody shots look good Rob!
I too put bigger motors (480's)and waltersons in mine and it has enormous torque but runs at scale speed very nicely. I also found when I upgraded my battery it worked a lot better too...
Can't wait for spring to get outside although that is going to be a while here!

Good Afternoon,
A very strong and detailed King Tiger. The B&W(s) came out great! I was thinking battery as well when I saw the stock plastic skin of the HL battery in the photo up above. I replaced the battery on mine a couple of years back and it runs better and responds quicker right off of the bat. I need to revisit it with a 2.4GHz set one of these months here soon. Summer is coming.
regards,
Painless

Thats a good looking King Tiger.
Im in the process of upgrading mine which i will start detailing soon, Just wandering how you are getting on with the what seems to be a Torro metal base kit.
I had problems with the Heng long base forever slipping off the tracks due to chassis flex and was hoping that the metal base/ wheels combo would solve this.
Black and white shots really do this tank justice

@eddyk: Thanks
@dgsselkirk: Thanks, I like the B&W, I just got a new camera, so needed something to try it out on

.
@PainlessWolf: Thanks, Yes that's a stock battery, I think I will have to get some Ni-MH types, the nicads I have are all reaching the end of their life.
@fishtank: Thanks, the torro metal base is great, together with the wheels I have no problem with tracks coming off. The metal lower includes a track tensioner so its worth spending time adjusting it to suit the ground your running on.
@lister fiend: Thanks, I had to lay on the ground to get the perspective right, some people I have shown the photo too thought it was a real tank

.
Thanks guys
Rob
