Hello Blake,

welcome back to the forum. I can't believe what you've wrote about yourself: old brain, old body, little intellect... :/
It's a good paintwork that you've made on your King tiger, also the last changes looking good.
But I have also a little hint for you; the hole in the front plate of the turret must be oval, not round. If you don't install LED back again to the turret it's better to make the hole oval, because it's very characteristic for the tank.
I know it's a bit late, but better late than never. :)

Thanks guys for the kind words, as for the suggestion it is not to late, the tanks are both just now ready for the details to be added back, the guns are just really sitting in position.

I intend to complete the rear plate features, some detailing and then a light bit f weathering before adding back the tools, cables and fitting out the Turret internal parts, like the recoil and the flash.

I shall take your advice and machine an "OVAL" shape into the turret face as the LED will not be re-mounted.

Today I actually spent time working on my Sherman from Heng Long Premium,my first American Tank.

I hope to accomplish a lot between now and August when I return to school,I have two more King Tiger,a Matorro and a H/L Porsche which could be nice tanks with some effort.

Thanks again guys for taking time to respond,my paintwork has always been a bit "DIFFERENT" in the patterns used.

Thanks very much guys, praise from all you guys with skills far exceeding mine may change with my next vision, call me an ass but the dare Jack blocks have always bothered me. On my other tanks the attempt at making the plastic blocks look wooden has failed.
Same with the wooden tool handles except on the TORRO their metal. I have the metal tracks to consider as well that mount on the Turret and thought that a small amount of weathering might look better?

Of course the real problem being me not screwing up the tank after coming this far. Input welcomed,

Thanks again for the comments guys, trying to get back in the Hobby and enjoy what tanks I have.

PS: Sassgrunt the Kubel command version and VW command cars are on the bench next pal, longest unboxing in history! Well except for your stack.

cheers,Blake

Well guys a very long delay, but finally the hull details completed and the Henschel in running order. Very cold here today, 24f so no video yet. But a few pictures, the Waltersons Porsche also has been complete, yet I need to correct the barrel.

More pictures by the weekend.

I will try to take better close up photos,as has been said to me many times. Me and a camera certainly should not be allowed in the same room :haha: Always ends in bad porno,me screwing the camera in funny positions.

Good Afternoon,
The paint turned out beautifully. Torro makes good stuff and it is very evident here with the solid King Tiger you have from them.
regards,

I have to agree, as I did totally disassemble this tank with exception of the suspension. Which though is possible should any part fail.

The tanks solid, the odd things being the lack of zimmerite on the Turret. And the weak point the recoil unit. Testing has revealed the recoil still acting up,the weak limit switch being the cause.

Not sure the best solution here, the switch seems to be just to weak a material to endure the slide notion repeatedly.

I have the Turret back apart which is a real hassle yet the only way to access this component. I have the Tamiya type momentary contact and will have to fabricate a solid mounting.

Drive train is solid, driving very well, maybe a bit under powered for the weight, Still a solid runner.
