Many thanks Painless,

after a short detour as house builder I'm now back in our main area of work - tanks. :/

I wanted my front MG movable by radio control - biggest handicap the very limited space. If we consider only the space in the lower hull, we will be especially deceived. In addition is my MG quite long to the back, see picture.

Image

Therefore I've removed the old 5 mm diode, shortened the aluminium body and drilled the housing for receiving a 3mm diode.

Image

Here is the difference between the two LEDs...

Image

...and here's the exact name of the new LED bought at a big electronic dealer in Germany.

Image

The diode soldered and glued into the housing.

Image

The cables at the front from the headlight have to be moved, so that they do not interfere the MG.

Image

Then cut from a rest of Poly a small lever arm, drilled and glued at the back on the MG.

Image

This part a bit closer...

Image

...and here the used servo.

Image

The servo is very small, but not small enough to install him lying. For my upright version I've built again a holder from a rest of a polystyrene plate.

Image

The structural work of the holder...

Image

...and here the adapted turret connection cable between the lower and upper hull. The power supply to my servo via this cable; the three cables from the upper hull into the turret were disconnected...

Image

...and there was soldered a cable to the servo for the connection to the receiver.

Image

The holder glued in...

Image

...the servo received a push rod and was screwed.

Image

The push rod then bent, inserted into the lever arm for the MG and the MG then screwed.
So is naturally only side alignment possible, but at for a MG ranging indeed look.
By the way - the little pencil line behind the servo mount is already the leading edge of the drive motors.

Image

So much for the MG...

Servo MG eh.................you make it look easy (like that house youre building !) but it will add such extra gratification when the turret is rotating one way & the MG is going the other.
Superb

The tank itself looks great but I am seriously impressed with your internals set-up. You have some of the best tank guts I've seen. I will refer here when working on my own electronics!

Good evening Herman,

it looks not only easy out...
In the next year I have to battle against one of my model building mate and with a good preparation is a good result possible, so is me no effort too much...

Hello SouvereignZuul,

you are also on a good way; I've sometimes watched your Tiger I thread.
In my thread will possibly follow some interesting stuff for you, please watch the report further...
...and if you find some ideas for yourself, I'll be happy.
