I wanted my front MG movable by radio control - biggest handicap the very limited space. If we consider only the space in the lower hull, we will be especially deceived. In addition is my MG quite long to the back, see picture.
Therefore I've removed the old 5 mm diode, shortened the aluminium body and drilled the housing for receiving a 3mm diode.
Here is the difference between the two LEDs...
...and here's the exact name of the new LED bought at a big electronic dealer in Germany.
The diode soldered and glued into the housing.
The cables at the front from the headlight have to be moved, so that they do not interfere the MG.
Then cut from a rest of Poly a small lever arm, drilled and glued at the back on the MG.
This part a bit closer...
...and here the used servo.
The servo is very small, but not small enough to install him lying. For my upright version I've built again a holder from a rest of a polystyrene plate.

...and here the adapted turret connection cable between the lower and upper hull. The power supply to my servo via this cable; the three cables from the upper hull into the turret were disconnected...
...and there was soldered a cable to the servo for the connection to the receiver.

...the servo received a push rod and was screwed.
The push rod then bent, inserted into the lever arm for the MG and the MG then screwed.
So is naturally only side alignment possible, but at for a MG ranging indeed look.
By the way - the little pencil line behind the servo mount is already the leading edge of the drive motors.
So much for the MG...
