Herman, Good Morning!
Since the Uniforms are black and the Piping is red(orange?), try this. Get a set of Sharpie Fine Tip Color Markers. Use the Silver marker to delinate the piping on the cap and tunic first. Come back over the Silver with the Red marker next. Should pop out against the Black Uniform like Threaded piping. Test on some flat black paint first. Give the Silver Marker time to dry before going over with the Red. Good Luck, Sir.
regards,
Painless

OOH! I will have to try that sometime, Painless. I am of the less and less steady brush age. One drawback (pun intended) I can see is that the marking pens are usually enamel; whereas, I use acrylic paint after a lacquer clear-coat. That make for a chance to erase errant marks.

Gday Mr Painless, good reminder that is.
Years ago I got 2 Staedtler marker/pencil thingos in shades of olive green.
They both still work. Clean forgot about them
After your timely reminder, and checking they still worked, I will use some spare time tomorrow to get a similar item in magenta or red.
OfficeWorks for local punters.
In the mean time, I got the dudes done to the point of just needing sealing and a wash.
From a 1 meter distance they will do
As its late here & I am watching MotoGP the pics can wait until tomorrow.

"Very much far from perfect"
How do you think that makes those of us that can't come near that result feel....? Schmuck.
