Use an HP server power supply. Rock solid 12v, cheap and easy to modify.

Plenty of units on eBay and how to's on YouTube...

Ok so this 3DP mallarky bit me and i going mad.
I got my 2nd Ender3 operational last night, so good to go.

Now in preparation for more, i want to research my next printer to invest in.
Seen Creality CR10S4 & S5. Why would i pay the extra over the CR10 without the S. Is there any reason why you wouldn't spend the extra 50 to get the S5 over the S4?

Who has experience of these printers?

Hi Will, I got my S4 from eBay for £395, a bit of a no brained really. I’d love an S5 but it was something like £250 more....
I will get one later this year
Remember that the S4 & S5’s are already S versions with dual Z leadscrews
Best £395 I’ve spent, lots better than the Ender 3 as there are dual rails under the bed so zero wobble.
Enjoy
Cheers

I have both the 10 and the 10s - there are some minor differences in the interface, but the major 2 are the lack of the filament sensor and the 2nd Z axis screw on the 10.
For what I am doing, the 10 is plenty good enough and was 100 quid cheaper than the 10s when I bought mine. That said, now that the difference between the two of them is now less than the Z axis upgrade kit (approx 40 quid?), I think you're really better off spending a little extra to get the 10s.

I keep looking at the S5 vs the S4, but the thing that puts me off is the extra energy cost - the S5 has a much bigger build plate to keep warm while your parts are being printed...
