Say Hi to Oddball
Image

Appears to be doing fine after his double amputation :wtf:
Image
Also had to break his arm at the shoulder and elbow to reform the pose. OUCH !

How does he do that ? :haha:

The way in which you have pursued the Sherman of many here's hero, certainly one of mine and I own no allied Tanks,or aircraft but would certainly be proud to own OddBall's Sherman, and think this has got to be one of the all-time great builds of this forum or any other. Seems only three things left to do,large speaker, bottle of good houch, and a place into Masterclass.

Hi all,
I've been thinking of how to get more control over the MP3 player, as all I can do is play and pause the tracks as they go, I had a bit of a brain wave o- and this is the result.
Buy buying a new jack plug and using heat shrink instead of the plastic cable cover, I was able to make it much shorter, and more flexible.
Image
This allowed me to re-orientate the Kube, keeping the play/pause button in the same plane, and by making an opening in the holder,
Image
expoing the forward skip button.
Image
I then used a Futaba "Y" lead and connected another servo to the rotary knob on my 7C, fixing it so that it worked in the other direction to the play/pause servo.
Image
Image
This also made the on/off switch at the top, which is a lot better.

I will upload a video of the operation.

Dude that is so awesome! Genious idea with the Kube controls! I also got some of the impakt .50cal ammo, 30 full and 30 empty cartridges but through careful bidding for about £3 (though £5 post). Cant wait to use them and ur work is inspiring!!
Cheers, Dave

Thanks for the comments guys,
Sax, I have been looking on and off for a bell shape item of the right size, that I could convert into the loud speaker, ever since I started this project, withoput success.
Finally Wayne (Von kraftwerk) is sending me a plastic Christmas bell that should be suitable, can't wait to get my hands on it 8)
Then its the stowage, a few special bits to scratch build there, like the lantern and blue water/oil can, think there is a milk churn on the back of the tank too. After that its weathering, so a little while to go yet.
Dave, that was a good price for the 50cal  , I got a 30 pack of shells and the 30+30 of shells and cases, so I have 60 shells on my ammo belt.
Hope to update soon when I get the Christmas bell.
