I like this one....
I have started my e50 build and my turret is going to look a lot like the e100 turret in this pic, heavy flat plate armor notched togather, with no hard to make bends.....The small turret had to many issues to work imo. The panther 75mm gun was going to have real problems with the new soviet,us and uk tanks comming onto the seen, the dam kt 88mm shells were to dam long to swing around inside that small turret..so the panther f turret would not work. The gun pretty much had to be the same one in the in the kt....but my thought was they were not going to store as much ammo in the turret like was planed with the kt( kt's were being killed with turret shots because the ammo was dislodging and going off with non penatrating hits). So that tail on the end of the kt turret was not needed...I will need to have something toward the rear of the turret to counter ballance the big honking gun hanging out up on the front . Since the e50 was not going to have torsion bar suspension, I was thinking that there would not need to be a excape hatch on the rear of the turret, the tank would have the hatches in the floor like the sherman. I will need some way to eject the empty shells....maybe something like the sherman....I cannot wait to see your suspension...

Latest update after a chance to work on this now that the holidays are over.
Pic 1 is the turret drive ring, I am working on getting the motor set in the hull. Hoping to have the turret turn at around 1 rpm, slowest my motor will go but I do have a slip clutch on it so that will help stop any damage if get stuck in the trees. Second is the recoil and elevation, just using micro servo's for that because I can program speed and distance on them.
The last is a side shot the top or front and back is not detailed enough and even the sides still need work butif you can see where I am going at least now.
2 weeks and the suspension will be done as I will have some Mato metal Panther wheels in shortly. I was going to build them but arrghh I been building this since October and I want to drive it all ready

I am using the Hi-tec HS81 servo, at 6v it will move 60 deg 0.09 secs at no load and the force it generates is 41.66 oz/in which is more than fast enough and strong enough. My only concern with the servo is the amount of movement. I want bthe barrel recoil to look realistic and total travel as I have it hooked up will be about 1-1/2". Might not be enough but I will need the SLU etc before I can judge that. I'll use a longer arm and do 180 deg of turn if I have to.
The little bit I can test though it looks nice with the quick pull back and a slow return.
To attach the servos to the barrell for the elevation I just made a flat ring out of some 1/16" x 3/8" flat brass plate, the ring had a tongue sticking out and I JB welded it to the outer barrell. Of course I drilled a hole through the tongue to insert my screw and bolt into, then attached the other end with a ball to the servo arm.
Same idea for the recoil but it was the servo I attached to the barrell, then I attached the servo arm at one end and a ball connection on the inner barrell at the other.
The barrell itself is 2 tubes of brass off the shelf from my LHS.one sits inside the other.
My scratch sitting beside my HL Tiger is dang near the exact same size.
Here is a link to the servos I am using. They are pretty small which was my main concern.

still working on getting the Mann suspension done. I really want to use it as it will set this tank off big time from anything you can buy. I have 2 prototypes made just need some wheels so I can put them through some bumps to see how it behaves. We will see if it works this week.

I started my e50 from a hl kt build....ended up with a 45mm spacing on the axils for each "boggie"with the kt wheels....here is a shot with the spacing using the hl suspension....

Tamiya recoil is very short a 25-30 mm stroke at best, You could use a fulcrum arm with a slot to obtain a longer stroke but it would depend on the neutral point,or center of the slot as the motion slows at that point then increases speed as it travels to the end of the arm.
'I've,used 38mm stroke cylinder powered using CO2, this from a shifter assembly off one of my bikes.the motion is super fast, smaller cylinders are available but the components involved create other issues.
Still the mewer servos seem to be the best option, this is something I intend to try.thanks

I found a e50 build where the guy made the boggies.....look on page 2....

Picked up a new book today Fighting Armor of WWII SERIES. King Tiger Heavy Tank 1942-45.So far for a small book 47 pages it has some very detailed charts and specific data on gun types, evolution of the drive train, turret data, just alot of specific engineering information and little speculation. This is exactly the type of book I prefer.
One interesting sketch of the Porsche design the Turret was intended to be mounted on seems similar to your build,Boogies as a suspension system. Here is a picture of the sketch.
