Hi Derek,
The Oddball voice/phrases were recorded from the film, but the music (although used in the film) was downloaded from the net because the music in the film is mostly obscured by gunfire or script.

Hi all,
I've been fitting some upgrade metal detail parts to the turret, including some lifting hooks not included in the Tam kit.

Thanks Wayne, yes, all my own work.
Check back a bit earlier in the build. Very fiddly, but I think it was worth it.

Anyone who has looked at Oddball's tank, in the Kelly's Heroes film, and scrutinised it as much as me, would have noticed that the ammo for the 50 calibre machine gun on the turret is laying loose on its belt within the ammo box holder.
I have already bought and painted the upgraded metal 50 cal M2 MG and wanted to copy this effect.
On the offchance, I googled "1/16 scale 50cal ammo" and came up with these little beauties.

They are from a company called Impakt, and I bought them from Mitosal models in Japan.
They even do spent cartridge cases.

So, with a thin strip of duck tape and a bit of patience, we have our ammo belt.

Ready for placing into the 50cal MG

I'm well chuffed with that
