:D The Chilby Tiger tot looks like it's just emerged from the incubator, at the Tiger 1 maternity wing. They're very cute. I imagine they'll be a good distraction, for kids tugging, for attention, at the sleeves of an obsessive tank-mad Dad : the ultimate "leave me in peace" bribe, from the harassed builder in fact :haha:

Good morning,
Ludwig, I remember those episodes. *chuckles* Someone on here has a build of the Army 'Car' halftrack\tank vehicle complete with characters. In 1/16 scale too I think.
43rdR&R, The only impetus I have ( sadly, not sadly ) is opening the closet door in the tank room and seeing everything awaiting start\completion. ;o) I saw a line of Chibi-Ships, day before yesterday, while paint shopping.

No, not dead, just Life...Last night I was swapping out a standard HS-55 micro servo for the same type in Jack's Tiger ( a salvage from the original M36B1 upper ) and it turned out that neither of them worked *laughes* A few moments after that, the gears in the same type of servo that was being used for recoil packed it in....then one of the metal arms holding on one of the forward hatches snapped for no apparent reason while I was holding the upper out of the way. At that time, I sat everything down and wisely backed away from whatever gremlin had infested my build. A short time later, I came back and cleaned up the counter and sorted out parts for replacement. Two steps back I suppose. Today, I found another metal hatch in spares and have ordered a few metal geared EMax servos to replace the old HS-55 ones with. A little progress, a half step? At any rate, a better build will result. A little proof of work being performed can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olgh4w6xVg8&t=2s

As the old saying goes Mr Painless " when it rains it pours" hoping as you have shown some nice progress it has only temporarily slowed you down.

The Clark board sounds very authentic and the speaker from Stian has a very unique bass sound to it.

I recall my nashorn project. I had the screws for the linkages too tight on my servos and burned one out and as I tinkered with the other servo I burned that one out too! Big learning experience.

Funny how all the gremlins appear at one time.

Keep up the great work my friend

Afternoon,
Soeren, It really does! The combo of the nice Clark Board and the big Speaker really bring it to Life ( not to mention, Max' Wizardry ) ;o)

Btw, I just read that you were using the Hobby Boss upper. Does that work well on the Taigen hull and can you just swap between the regular one and the HB? The Taigen parts, including the turret, seem to have the same issues as the HL piece. Especially with the wrong turret rotation arrangement.

Good morning,
The Hobby Boss upper has the Taigen mounting system on it and mounts to the lower just like the Taigen would. The Upper is a combo of parts with the engine deck from another type of Tiger, ( Tamiya maybe? ) grafted onto the Hobby Boss part and using the Hobby Boss turret. Makes for an amazing and realistic Tiger 1.

And the turret takes the elevation and recoil unit too? Hmmmmm. I might need that as well. Thanks
Ok Mr. Wolf. I realize now, to achieve a proper tiger an upgraded hoppyboss top and turret might be the easiest. With rctankelectronics kits the option of recoil and elevation should be feasible. The taigen turret and too will only be good for a static model without heavy modification. But there one has the lower from the HB kit. 8O
