I have been collecting since I was about 10. I still have a couple wacky things like Romel's Rod, The Circus Wagon, Bathtub buggy and others from the original 1969 releases. I do cars,aircraft, trains, armor, figures. Even N scale trains, RC aircraft, cars and armor. I hate the hobby shop. I can always find something to buy. lol

Hell, I was getting ready to send a search and rescue team to recover you. Nice to see more of the build up. The Olive looks very good for the U.S. Olive drab. I was going to use the U.S. drab as well from Model Master, however It's not correct for British SCC15, which is more on the Khaki Drab side. I found a great mixture for Tamiya paints and it matches the actually color chip. I am going to get back into the swing soon on mine. I have been working on the turret rotation. The resin hull is a bit of work to get right. Anyway, nice to see you back and I'll look forward to the continuation.

Looking good! What did you use for the base blue on the M2?

Basecolor is flat black (Tamiya) after that a light drybrush with steel from Vallejo and the a very very thin wash with Vallejo dark blue....Only a hint of the blue is enough.....

Not much to see this time, but I started on the weathering-job. Plan is to go panel by panel, this to obtain difference in color to get the model a more vivid and weathered look.

Are you using the AK washes on this one? I am going old school on this build and using the old panel fade technique. Works well in this scale and makes it look well worn. Anyway, keep up the good work!

No, all the washes, fading and scratches are done with good old oils. I love the AK stuff, but I didn't want to get out my comfort zone on this one.
Oils take way longer to dry, but it gives you also more correction time when you mistakenly f*ck up!!

John: You F*ck up? Say it's not so! Oh, you're Chair Farce. I understand. HA HA! I broke out the Windsor Newton oils as well. Hell, some are 20 years old! Are you using odorless turpentine for your washes? I used the Burnt Umber over the Humrol Wood on the handles on the M2. Anyway, it's coming down to the end of the build. Finally! I solved the Li Po use issue as well. I'll be running an 5000 MA LiPo. That should run it for a while, even with the smoker.
