Came home yesterday after dropping off the in-laws, catching up with friends over a beer and a day’s shooting. Decided to tidy up the wiring in the turret, and improve the elevation and depression of the gun. The original Tamiya recoil unit was quite compact, where as this unit is a lot larger, so space has become a premium for the smoke unit. I had put the ball for elevation onto the recoil unit, however it had pulled out, so was not giving any movement. I re-installed the original elevation arm and bent it to fit. This gives a reasonable amount of gun movement, perhaps not quite what it was. The barrel smoke is not as good something to look into. Having done this to prove a point over on FB, I am not entirely happy with it. I have a shiny new TK7.1S which I was going to utilise in the T72 winter build. I am thinking it might be better used in the Tiger as then I can get a working coaxial gun and servo recoil and elevation. This would mean integrating the Taigen unit onto the previously constructed recoil in the T72, which I was going to use a servo for. I will think about it all.

I’ll worry about it Tuesday. Main decision tonight is what to drink.

Dear Jim, it's "Whisky' in Scotland, but 'Whiskey' in Ireland and America. 'Whisky' is thus the correct spelling :D .
Once, of course, it was 'uisge beatha (Gaelic)'. Try saying that after a half bottle... :D

Neither was last nights. Made from the waters ‘o the river Derwent in Derbyshire. But because the brother -in -law chucks whisky down his neck like it’s going out of fashion. He gets the £8 blended from Lidle, in a fancy Malt Whisky Society Bottle.

Now every thing is working again on the Tiger the niece and her friend can go and terrorise the local red squirrel population.

Cold and frosty, with fog. So I took the Tiger out for a 10 minute run.
