Wow you actually managed to build the butterfly screw on the aber ariel! Mine went wrong and I had to use the single piece one out of the the grills and vents set!

because of the drawings, my pleasure. Now you drive heavy guns on, a very fine machine do you use my friend! But important is always only the result, I hope you will show us your finished side skirts at your Panther. I wish you much success!

No no tomhugill, the picture is deceptive. At the moment is the antenna at the foot screwed with a hexagon bolt and a hex nut M 0.8; later the nut will be replaced by a wing nut from brass. These is not from Aber, but rather from WeCoHe and is an real wing nut.
With the most etched parts I stand on war foot, for outdoor used tanks and thick fingers too thin and filigree.

but until then will still flow a bit water the river Spree down, but the first patterns on paper are finished. Unfortunately are photos from my target unit of the Wehrmacht rarely, but it will already be, its only a question of time.

Sorry no, but with the help of hotti for lending the plans, a friend at work for makin a few cad drawings, and another friend with the machine I thought why not give it a try.

I'll report back once I have them bent into shape.

In my last report about the rear turret hatch I've forget to make pictures from the detailing around the hatch. Here are now the missing detail photos without further explanations.

Every tank needs a commander, so also my Panther. I've take an older figure that I've bought actually for my King Tiger, but ultimately not used.
The figure needs many modifications for a good pose. After the amputation of the legs and several fractures of the arms he is now already on the way to recovery.
For the correct height he has receive a little piece trouser.
All fractures are fixed with wire, then patched and modeled with Apoxie Sculpt. In the right hand he should hold the switch from the headset and with his left hand he should hold at the turret ring.
For modeling I've used Apoxie Sculpt, here is a photo from this putty.
My commander has taken his seat in the Panther for the fine adjustment; so it could go.
There are still a lots of things to do; it goes on in the next report.

Must say I like the detail on the hatch .. well done
