i dont know if i like my thousand dollar tank being controled

Normally I would agree with you in a big way but at least I am not sending a loved project over 100 feet in the air only to crash and burn while using a cheap transmitter.

In my case I only paid 50.00 for my 1st HL Tiger ( almost new in the box ), got the second Tiger and plus extra goodies free because a buddy moved over to 1/6th scale.

Other than the steel gears, a Tamiya recoil unit and a Tamiya control system that I hope to get soon....I have only invested about 150.00 in my upgrade so far, mostly because I'm fairly good with basic electronics and a seasoned model builder....BUT MOSTLY because I have been unemployed for almost one year.....so I figure a lessor transmitter system would be fine to start with.

There are ways to be frugal and still get decent results.

NOTE: I have read a few reviews on that 9ch ....after some minor tweaking plenty of Helo and Fly guys like it....so its gotta be good for Tanks.

Its all fun!

Theres nothing wrong with the turnigy gear mine works fine as does serveral guys in my tank club who also use it.

I to read that somewhere that you ned analog trims for the dm unit. Nice to se someone using the dx7.

would you be so kind to give a brief tutorial to the dm unit+dx7 as I to have one for my trex500, and are getting into tanks again( probably getting the tamiya KT). Not having to get a cheap hobbyking, ore find a used dx5 would be great, thanks
