Interesting, you are painting it without things like the turret lift rings, pistel ports and alike in place. I hope you removed the led in the ball mg before painting.

Thank you, I am trying many new ideas on this build. And using Tamiya Paints only for the first time. By stress do you mean weathering? Or dry brushing,or some other method of simulating wear,or use.

As far as taste, that is like opinion, everyone has an opinion and each opinion has value. This is the second of 4 King Tiger paint works, the Henschel in the Tamiya section, and my Tamiya Porsche with Zimmerit which is next, then a Matorro King Tiger after that.

With each one I hope to improve my abilities, any suggestions or examples would be useful?

Brilliant paint job Blake. ( I dont know how I overlooked this thread ) I like the way you have blended the camo together and this is your first attempt at the Tri camo scheme. Will you put a wash through it ? great job mate

HI Steiner,I am reviewing some of the information you posted on that very subject. I am happy to of gotten this far with out screwing it up.

The Henschel was my first, but still using the older method OZ demonstrated with our now famous Painting and Weathering thread.

I am considering the next step, but for today the wheels and lower hull are being primed and the back plate is nearing completion as I wanted to leave the exhaust weathered and did not just paint the entire assembly as the lower hull is done. It would be much easier if the individual parts could be removed leaving just the Hull plate to be painted.

I still have the habit of painting the tanks in pieces then assembling the pieces, like the Turret was painted separably from the lower hull.

I agree, just wanted to be clear as the English spoken in the South is unique to our culture.I have much to do,and the weathering and use is part of that, the lift rings, the MG mount on the copula will be two point that show wear, especially the ring on the copula. The Pistol port was an over-site.

I have much to do, focusing on the lower hull, and wheels today. Thanks for the clarification, cheers
