I think it might have been good Etiquette to have introduced yourself to the forum before posting on members threadsKing Tigerman wrote:I think that Tamiya should do something new like a Challenger 2, M1A2 Abrams, T90 MBT, or even the Chieftain MBT in the 1/16 R.C.
What about an R.C operational I.R Flak 88. That would make it interesting for the tank boy's on a battle day.
These are some my ideas.
What do you fellow members think?

If you "STEINER" had looked back two posts ago you will see one of my posts on this very thread. In fact I have already made 4 posts.
As to introducing myself I did not think that posting this idea on this thread would offend anyone.
I am alittle bit angry over this.
Who do you think you are making comments like that?
I am offended by the way that you have spoken
I wont do again as I will not visit this site again

Lighten up chaps, it's perfectly fine for people to post on the forum without introducing themselves STEINER

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not the pace of life that worrys me, its the sudden stop at the end.
Re: Tamiya Tiger 131 Limited Edition
Ok Guys, Lets just say we have a bad day. Get back in bed and get up on the other side and let's start over. My post so I shall summerize-
The offering sucks,Tamiya is not the King any more, they have had issues for years with axles and bushing quality, they did not change that either,no New design of a better interface type electronics, which is their only claim at present.
My Asiatam Tiger I if chained to this new offering would drag it backwards tracks spinning on their light ass not new and improved Tiger.
For the price I would buy the All the Asiatam lower hulls for German tanks and build me a Tiger and a King Tiger for the price, what we need from Tamiya is a CENTURION,from the Golan Heights Battle "SHOT KAL"Proven in battle. My rant is over.

Certainly My now older Asiatam Tiger hull has demonstrated durability, many many hours of use and not a single problem in over two years. This offering seems to fall short of any progress,a few new parts and nothing more.
Metal tracks, sprockets, gun, and accessories should be standard, perhaps they will soon realize this? We shall see....
the overal quality of tamiya chassis alone is far mor technical better, some of my koti's are 12y old or even older no wear or so onthe toothwheels inside, never had an isseu with anything when proper build and setup. On my FO's i changed the trackspanner with schumo's one , thats all i have invested into beside metal tracks on some ... without electronics is it very inventive chassis, its easy to maintenance etc ...
what left of heng long after 8 times losen the upperbodyn no screw will get fasten any more into the trashplastic they made of trash electronics, bodyfaults to avoid patents rights of the tamiya's even if you spend 400 extra euros on your HL or matorro its never gonna tip even a little on the tamiya stuff
Put a benedini in your HL cost you another 200 euro, then you have not yet solid motorboxes , only a top soundsystem in your HL
Why need to upgrade tamiya no need to ... its proper engeniered so no need ... you want upgrades thats ok but don't say the tamiya need that. I know a guy with a 1200 euro tamiya king tiger with all the bells on in metal and so ... its trownaway money ... i buy me a new one with that upgrademoney ... i even scratched a Jagdtiger out of a tamiya Porsche KT , everything on , no use of PE or upgrades , just a very detailed JT with lenghtened chassis not like the matorro toyisch JT
i can hours talk about that my sherman FO is even 15y old, had ever rided of a table and was still moving on no harsh damage at all ... i would advice try one you won't be disappointed guy's
saxondog has right too, tamiya have to reinvent their stuff their are better aftermarketstuff for sale but HL and Matorro have to go a long way before they can beat the tamiya at front
on the other site Hooben and its Elefant is on the good way, i busy to build the elefant a very nice kit, just like tamiya, metal sproket and idlerwheels, good motorbox just no electronics but the price is lesser to so no problem with that, i have the rc ready one
Re: Tamiya Tiger 131 Limited Edition
yes the upgraded tiger isn't cheap, i've got a static of it still in the box, the K sprew is also into it i bought it for 200 euro just look for the electronics now ... have a panther MF module for it very cheap finding on ebay, got the dmd to lets say it costed me 400 euro all together , can't complain i think ... just find time to build it ... so many models ... so little time
Re: Tamiya Tiger 131 Limited Edition
i have seen an opperational flak 88mm on rc universe with IR sensors and sounds, its awesome
Re: Tamiya Tiger 131 Limited Edition
a very valid point but the world is having a financial disaster everywere for some years nowEastern Front wrote:You know,
I really dig Tamiya tanks, lately I am looking elsewhere.. Tamiya keeps promising a new tank, just like this one.. All they are doing is re-releasing old kits!
Limited 131, Leopard 1A4, SuperSherman etc.. Whats next a Super Pershing with the biger barrel?
I think Tamiya does not have the models "Flying" off the shelfs because of this.. Tamiya should make an effort to release something every year to keep its followers interested. Look at Hooben, Heng long, they are releasing stuff that Tamiya should have thought of first! I know I am venting, but dang!
I think they could recover the diehards and bring in alot of others if they were to release something truly new and unique, like Merkava, Cromwell, M10, SU-100
M-48, M-60, Chieftan, STUG III or IV (would be real easy) or one of those Iraqi gun trucks (toyota pick up with the recoiless in the bedthe last is a joke.. But you see what I am getting at..
Cheers!

Re: Tamiya Tiger 131 Limited Edition
It would be brilliant if Tamiya decided to do a British tank just for competition sake, a Cromwell or Crusader perhaps, hell id even take a Valentine... mmm well not perhaps a Valentine but you know what I mean
I'm manning the gun's ! Who's driving ?
