don;t give up yet. The rx18's are pretty durable. I have only fried one due to me hooking up something badly the wrong way.

1) make sure all your batts are charged
2) double check any wiring polarity AND check that you are plugging them into the right spot on the board
3) start with JUST the radio reciever and direct power (via proper plug to the right spot on the board) and two motors plugged in.
4) make sure you have two of the same channel crystals

Turn on transmitter (red light on) and push the start once. wait 10 seconds. you should be able to get the motors moving witht he right stick.

don;t worry about the other stuff, just yet. slowly add plugs to the board like sound switch, volume, speaker, upper hull cord, etc...

one at a time helps eliminate issues outside the board. If all fails, then get a new one.. I have had dead board in one tank that somehow works in another tank, so save all your parts.....

see what happens

Chris, these are for you to check your connections, and if you can use a volt meter you can check for power output, hope this helps. Blake

Hi Chris

What do you mean by 'weird'?

If it makes a kind of clattering sound when you move the tank you have 1 for a kv1 (not the best sound,i have a kv and hate the sound)...
