Hosted server any day and twice on Sunday. All the patches done for you, security etc, all glitches dealt with in the price. defo the way to go. Or put it this way, who's web site is still up , Matts or UKTC?

I thank you.... 8)

But I do think its a good idea to contact Hump( Stuart) or Rob and offer assistance in the interim.

Must admit I now sleep better without the 'gas turbine' like howl that the servers used to make :D

yea, should have got water cooling (that would have cost a fair few tamiya's).

but yes, if the UK Tank Club members wish to come here and talk, they can feel free to.

if you do, please post int he appropriate sections (we allready have a large scale board, which is ideal).

cheers,

matt

I did have water cooling - 3 servers on the same circuit, about 20 ft of hose, 1 3x120mm fan radiator and a pond pump to keep it all moving (driven off the UPS off course)

water cooling the power supplies was still a problem tho...

Ok 'nuff server talk guys. I just just spent three weeks in meetings deciding to go virtual/cloud or good old chunk of metal route for my company so ive had enough server talk to last me a lifetime.....

And as one of you is bound to ask I went virtual, dual system( two mirror host servers) with a 6tb raid 5 backbone.
