After some streaking, white.grey and charcoal colors.Unable to move forward due to outside weather, but will try to coat in matte varnish tomorrow.Once dried I intend to enhance with Gray and black dotting. This is going slow for me but can't seem to get the all mighty to delay our tornado season so I can paint a tank,go figure. It does look dirty but urban warfare is dusty so I'm trying to create that effect.Cheers Blake

Because the weather demon :~ is angry that I have survived a tornado,or I have only one kind of luck(bad).Remember my 1/6 SCALE Tiger arrive with a fork lift fork that went through my tracks and drive sprockets. So I came home today ready to spray floor varnish sealer, you got it my airbrush will not work.Spraying erratic and the regulator is acting stupid. But I will continue on this uphill fight to create a Jagdpanther that does not look like a cow or gateway add. Jagdpanther III Weathering 006.JPG
Added a little dullcoat today but not really the finish I'm trying for.Trying to portray a Jagdpanther in Feb,1945 fighting in the desolation of bombed out German cities.Imagine fighting in that situation, desperate and tired, how do you portray a Jagdpanther desperate and Tired? More to come, cheers Blake

Hi Blake. What stage is the last picture . I like the look of that mate . Ive got the numbers on my Panther and the cross . I dont think many Panthers had unit markings . Pluss although I wanted my one to be 12th ss , I used number 222 as Ive seen it on a Panther A somewre just cant find the picture :'( And not 100% sure it was 12th ss ?. I have painted the tracks they look ok ish these are Matro tracks . Im not painting the Impact ones on the Stug and Pz.IV tho . Again I realy like the last picture . I do all my weathering with Tamiya paints and weathering sets would this still work after ther polish coat ?

The last picture is a step I wanted to try out, after the streaking was sealed with floor polish,I added a light grey dusting of pastel dust, then varnish. After that had dried I added a little shadowing with a lead pencil, the something new Testors dullcoat spray finish, not to thick as I don't know how it will react. As for the weathering each time you seal with the varnish that surface is their, you can add more color, detail shadowing(pencil lead) pastel dust, even go back to floor polish to bring some color back out or brighten the different shades,of the varnish.I am entering a stage I have never used or done before. The best guide for your tank would be to follow OZ as he instructed me and Bran,I don't want to jam you up.I even considered stripping today and starting over.If you have the colors you need and the deacls and have sprayed with polish then the next coats should be varnish, two or three coats but let each one dry(24hrs) as you add coats the finish will matte out,not really dull but Matte finish. And remember this is my third Tank ever.Cheers Blake
