So finally got the detail finished, used thin brass sheet, fuse wire and plasticard.
Have modeled the Panther so the turret can come off and the Bergepanther platform
can go in its place, two for one!

Berge will have most of its tools off the brackets, scratch built operational towing attachment with towing bars.

Towing cable mounted on side of Jag, also moved the barrel cleaner tube onto rear deck.

Hopefully slap some paint on during the Easter break.

All detail now done, I know a lot of people complete kits then paint,
I prefer to complete sub sections then add the paint.

After a bit of a break from models I'm back into the Panthers.

After applying the camo I sealed the paint with a semi gloss.
First wash of artists oil paint a thin coat of Burnt Umber over the whole surface,
then added some black oil paint to the same mix and applied this to the high points
detail deck and rear panel. Always have a cloth handy to dab away excess, don't want
this one too dark. After all of this has dried I use a colouring pencil Derwents Burnt
Umber and draw in some scratches then use powdered artists pastels for rust stains
and rain streaks. Not the biggest fan of weathering so really like to hear some tips
on how to do a better job?

Hopefully get some sealer on all this soon and then it's final assembly, home stretch yahoo!

Got a bit more done, the Bergepanther is just for fuel and ammo supply
as well as towing. As you can see this means she can have the platform
removed and have her turret attached and return to a being a Panther.

Got the RC gear in, the Jagdpanther comes with a straight running non rc motor
(see pic to right) so fitted a tamiya gear box, bit of fiddling, cut the output shafts
to suit then matched them up with the kits gearboxes.

The control unit that comes with the Tamiya Panther is great, proportional and will pivot on the spot.

Couldn't help but see if the Bergepanther would tow the Jagdpanther, even with the tracks of the
Jag locked she pulled her along no worries, I'm a happy tanker!
