Hi BREL I am using the Tamiya Tiger 1 FO gear at the moment, but eventualy I want to get a Panzer IV MFU to go in there. As for fitting it was intresting to say the least. In the end I used stick on velcro patches to mount everything onto the plastic deck as well as the batterys onto the top of the DMD and MFU ( just visible in picture 2 ). The layout being dictated by the need to allow clearance for the recoil and elevation units. the velcro also allows me to swap the control units between my tanks ( working on a cunning plan to make my wiring plug and play. More later

)

I really want to see some video of your Stug to see the improved electronics at work. I have the same hulls on my Panzer III and KV-1 and am extremely close to taking the plunge. For $300 worth of silicon for each tank, the improvement needs to be dramatic.

Looking good Alan getting all that gear in a stug hull a real cunning plan you have of doing all your tanks with the same electronics which means you get the tamiya reliability and sound at a fraction of the price private boldrick would have been proud of you.

Hi Pete it's the temp power supply for the T5 RC receiver mate. I'm going to buy a new receiver battery pack soon to replace this lash up and gain a little more room. All the best for now

On both of my Tamiya's, the receiver gets its power from the DMD. Yours should too, and would give you a nice chunk of space back.
What radio gear are you using? Fantastic job your doing though! I've thought about doing a StuG with Tamiya electronics (I dont use anything else). It would go nicely with my Ardennes tanks.
Cheers,
Rik

from what i have read do not connect reciever battery pack as you will damage the control units this came straight from tamiya
you will plug the dmd reciever wires to reciever and power will come from dmd unit
hope this helps
