Smokers for me are just a PITA so I actually remove them as the first thing I do to a tank...

What usually kills them is putting too much fluid in there. A few drops is all they need to produce smoke. If they get flooded, they burn up. Putting too little fluid in them, they burn up. Hence I remove them from my tanks.

I wish I could help more. However, I searched "angwang Smoke Generator" and found the very Amazon site to which you refer. I have no experience with any of the replacement smoke generators, as I used mine minimally. Hence, I cannot be of any help as to quality. As the replacement is not too expensive, I know I would try one. In fact, when the money tree shakes, I will probably pick one up to keep on hand.

Yes, that item is on Amazon, under at least 2 different "QUQUTWO", and a bunch of AliExpress vendors. Most seem to include a controller board, perhaps for gun smoke. Either way, I'm also looking at GI Smoker which has a dedicated refill line. But for now, I've got an OEM smoker on it's way from AliExpress for $5. Not sure I can justify a $65-$90 smoker, yet.
