Those fender mounted width indicators looked out of place in all honesty!
Would’ve lasted 5 mins out of the factory I reckon!!

The six mounts on the Littlefield Panther were for carrying Brückentafel (infantry bridge boards) the same type of mounts were also photographed on a Tiger.

Possibly a foot bridge.
Possible side armour.
Possibly rocket (Zu Fuss) mounts

We will really never know.
I had an original mount handed to me when I was there, and there was a lot of lively discussion on their intent.
Facts lost to history unfortunately.

But we do know.

The original documentation was found a few years ago in the Bundesarchiv. They are wooden infantry bridge mounts, nothing else. The documents found include detailed diagrams and how make both the bridges and the mountings and all variations in their attachment to vehicles, both flat and angled sided, and even how to properly use them.

These original documents have even been used to create sets of resin 1/35 kits for both the Tiger and Panther.

As soon as I clicked on "https://youtube.com/@davidsheehan5071?s ... Y7do0IWkNy" I recognized it. It's about the same as the 800 sq. ft. Golden Prairie Railroad in surface area, but you have more levels. I never could figure out why there are only two rails at the crossing in town.
