All the cool goodies done right
Where did you source the correct "C" hooks? I haven't had good luck finding good ones. And that Jack is nifty too. Where is that from? I currently cannibalize different jacks to get what I want then fab mounting brackets but I'm never 100% satisfied.
Your DIY zimmerit is most impressive!
Centering the turret not only looks better but I'm sure made the addition of the turret ring easier than what I went through.
I did work up a crank starter handle but haven't gotten around to mounting it yet. Your tools look great as well.
Your whole Tiger is a great accomplishment as well as motivational material for a Tigerholic like myself.
Cheers to a job well done!

Whoa , steady on chaps .
O.K. first the HB 1/16 Zimmerit tool , no joy yet , all the others seem to be for smaller scales , but AFV club do roller types - in several styles -

Second , the jack is included in the Voyager PE 16009 set ( You still have to make a few parts from styrene , - the body , foot and crank handle , I also added a wire lifting handle ( There was only one on late version apparently , the Voyager instructions say two - the set is 'Mid' )

Mr Blimp,

regarding this beautiful build, were did you source the small inspection cover parts located in the centre the very rear of the tanks deck that is correct for a mid or late production . Collecting parts for a Taigen Mid or Late Tiger 1 for the future and it looks like Taigens late Tiger deck has not been updated with this feature. If you made these two parts ,did you have a illustration to work from. Cheers.

John!
Just dropping in with a snippet from the Way Back Machine ( My 2017 Late Tiger 1 Build ) while Blimp comes back here.
( Apologies for the Pic included, Mr. Blimp, but it is the Schumo Mid-Late Tiger Plate ) Axel may be able to source one for you John since his Site has taken up the Reins when it comes to providing Schumo Parts ( or so I have heard )
regards,

Thanks for that Mr Painless Wolf. No its not the starter plate I am talking about. On the rear deck are five caps with a X cast into them. The rear most cap deleted March 1943 and Triangular style access plate installed. Blimp has this feature on this build. That is what I am talking about my friend.

John!,
Hi, I am an Idiot. Sorry for misconstruing your Request. I checked my Mid-Late and Mike's Early Tiger 1. They both have the Caps with the X cast into them. One is Hobby Boss and one Tamiya. Maybe some Sprue searching online or a 3D print job could get you the Engine Deck plates with those caps. Good Luck my Friend. Thanks again, Blimp for letting me nose in here.
regards,
Painless

I almost fabbed it up but somewhere along the line forgot to make the panel and add it. I also didn't remove the latch which would have had to go. Just part of my list of things I get right, the limits I set and the

Sorry to rob part of your post Blimp and you Painless Wolf must be pretty smart after the quality of the builds you post. Hoping Blimp and Mr Chef show how they created this .I know the hatch hook needed to be relocated when this was installed. Will create Maybach 230 two hole starter as I cant find anyone that supplies one.
