Getting a few more bits done on the KT, I got some schumo track hangers of forgebear so on there went. The atak zim has the cut outs for the existing mounts so you wind up with a big gap. To remedy this I ground the bits flush with the zim then used a soldering iron to match the pattern best I could. Not perfect but most will have tracks hanging and the others when painted should blend ok. ImageImageImageImageImage

Some more progress, fitted the new headlight, this is hollow and ready for and led. Nice little Bosch lettering on it.

I like the skirt less look but like having part of the front ones still on, so some slicing and diving and ones fitted. Drilled out the holes where the real one bolts to the side skirts.

New extinguisher from brad, a lot better detail than stock and a lot less faff than a Aber one.

Most fiddly job has been fitting the skirt mounts. I had to use a thin milling bit on the dremmel to mill a gap for them to sit in as they looked daft attached over the zim! ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Inching ever forwards, fitted the fender mounts and front fender on the other side. Fitted the spare track links and added a more scale handle to the loaders hatch.

Next up convoy light, head light and photo etchImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

That's one nice tankcommander you've got!
Printed him yourself?
The left side track looks more tight than the right one in the pics.
On 3 of my HL KT's I could adjust the tracks bij rotating the idler wheels on both sides.
On my 4th KT it could not be done. No possibillity to adjust them, maybe due to it being an older version.
I am not familiar with Tamiya tanks, so I do not know if they have something like track tensioners?
But so far so good, nice KT you're rebuilding!
Rob.

I'm not sure where he came from tbh! But printed and good quality

They do have tensioners, I'll look at adjusting in the future
