If you have a "Pantiger" then the base is all Tiger 1 with the exception of the fittings on the rear plate,
THe tracks are the same as is the running gear,
Plenty of spares available to bring it up to an early Tiger 1 spec.
I suggest your problem will be updating the electrics.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

How old is your pantiger? Is it the old 27mhz system (uses a crystal numbered 1 to 4 on the tank and matching one on the transmitter) or is it a newer 2.4g system, transmitter has 4 small buttons on the lower right front, like this:

As for an upper body and turret, check out Toucan hobby or one of the many other aliexpress vendors that sell hl parts.

You would have to replace the exhausts with the mato tiger 1 exhaust and have to do some small modifications to the rear for the fiefel filters. There are plenty of people on here who can provide you the know how when it comes to tigers. As I’m not a tiger personI can only give you the basic but, we have a few that can take you right down to the smallest detail to get that big cat exactly how it should be
That sounds amazing! so i could look for a henglong early tiger 1 (probably an all plastic one) and you say the bottom tray would be compatible? is that including the gears and tracks?

hopefully some more people can guide me in the right direction. maybe even for small parts i might need.

its gonna be the first time ill be taking one apart to swap so hopefully its do able. ive never really worked on them but you gotta start somewhere i suppose.

Yes Sir, a Pantiger chassis is a Tiger 1.
If you get a Tiger 1 upper hull & turret it will swap straight over to the pantiger lower hull.
Without the upper a Pantiger is just a Tiger !!
However, the rear engine deck vents and exhausts of the much maligned Pantiger are very handy for making conversions of early Panthers from the HL later version G's.
So keep those!

For me, the Pantiger would be sold on FB marketplace and I would just buy a better tank. By the time you do the upgrades, you will have more money into it than just buying a different tank. JMHO...

issue is i cant get it sold even for less than half the original cost. so to me it is worth getting an upper hull and turret. because ill have a use for most of the parts then. i dont mind spending a little more to get a better tank out of it. if i were to sell it just as is i would get 60 maybe 80 euro for it if im lucky. wich to me personally is not worth it at all for a complete metal drivetrain

If you had the old 27mhz innards then yes, junk it. But you don't, you've got the good stuff! Jofaur gave you some good links for the upper hull, turret, and rear end parts. Looks like the rctanks.de shop has complete uppers for €59ish, and Forgebear has the rearend for €12ish.

Orrrr...keep the pantiger as a test hack for experimenting with modifications and painting, a spare parts donor, and as a driver loaner for when friends come over. That's just being a good host, as you drive your schwanky new Tiger around! ;) :D :P
