Hello,
you have found a nice basis.
What fascinates me again and again is that so many people don't manage to assemble the exhaust correctly.
You will certainly make something nice out of it, we are watching you.
with regards,Guido
I just noticed that. WTH

A Blank canvas to play with, and a cheap second hand blank canvas so much the better. You will not feel bad cutting into it.
I like the Tamiya 1/16 King Tiger I have 3. I know some of the detail is very 1970’s but it looks right.
When I saw the photo’s I was making a list of things I would do to it like opening up all the hatches, scratch building the big engine filters so it could be staged with the engine hatch open. A little bit of etched brass detail and it will a nice model.
I have always fancied doing the King Tiger recovered by the American 463 Ordnance Evac unit. It would look cool driving round with a crowd of G.I’s all over it, a bit like oddball and his crew in a King Tiger.

Is that the one with the stars hung on it ?
If so I did that very one set a day before it was damaged and abandoned.

Yip that’s the one !!
I’m not a fan of guards on a KT so I took a bit of license there

I don’t like the guards either but I’ll probably never get this project off the ground. It just seemed like a cheap price for anything made by Tamiya. I’m more of an “early war” guy.
